There has been no shortage of quality with the bat at the 2026 World Cup, with some of the biggest names taking to Sri Lanka and India across the month-long tournament.

The likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Ishan Kishan, Aiden Markram and Harry Brook have all made big contributions across the tournaments but, with only two teams left to fight for the trophy, this is now a battle to see whether any player can eclipse Sahibzada Farhan at the summit.

Ahead of the final, Farhan sits at the top with 383 runs in six innings. Finn Allen is the closest player to Farhan that is still able to catch him. The Kiwi opener has 289 runs in seven innings. Tim Seifert (274 runs), Ishan Kishan (263 runs) and Suryakumar Yadav (242 runs) are next in line.

Pakistan's failure to make it out of their Super 8's group was not down to Farhan, who starred with the bat, returning an average of 76.60. While only New Zealand or India can lift the trophy this year, Pakistan will be hoping that the top batter award will get scooped by Farhan, who was in stunning form with the bat.

Finn Allen will hope to build on his stunning 100 not out from 33 deliveries against South Africa as he hammered the Proteas into submission as he secured New Zealand's place in the final. While India have a range of bowlers that take wickets, England showed in the semi-finals that they can be gotten at.

Can Sahibzada Farhan top score at the T20 World Cup, or will he be outdone by one of a range of quality players at the competition?
