Multan Sultans vs Lahore Qalandars Preview & Tips - Multan Sultans to notch third consecutive PSL win

Lahore Qalandars slipped to a four-wicket loss in their second contest of 2026 as the Karachi Kings took the points. 

The Sultans have won five of their last 10 against the Qalandars, with the latter winning the other five. 

Multan Sultans were not to be denied in their clash with the Hyderabad Kingsmen as they eclipsed the total of 225/5 set by their opponents. 

Sahibzada Farhan notched a sensational unbeaten century while Steve Smith chipped in with 46 from 20 to see the Sultans go beyond the 100-run mark before they lost a wicket. Their impressive batting performance was timely as their bowlers took five wickets combined in a tough day for the side in the field. 

Against the Qalandars, they will feel that if they can get a handle on Shaheen Shah Afridi, then they will be on course to post a big total. The real battle may yet prove to be the bowling attack of the Sultans against the batting unit of the Qalandars. With neither really impressing in their last outings, if one can get a handle on the other, it could prove to be what clinches victory for either of the sides. 

Lahore Qalandars may have started their season with an impressive 69-run win over the Hyderabad Kingsmen, but they were left floored by the Karachi Kings in their second outing as they were beaten by four-wickets. 

Batting first, the Qalandars trundled to an underwhelming 128/9 in their 20 overs as batting proved incredibly difficult. The track being bowler friendly clearly continued as the Qalandars had the Karachi Kings teetering, but they could not take the necessary wickets as their opponents came away with a hard-earned four-wicket win despite the best efforts of Shaheen Shah Afridi (4/18). 

The major worry for the Qalandars will be that they looked incredibly brittle with the bat in their last outing. While Shaheen Shah Afridi continues to impress with the ball, he cannot do it all on his own. Indeed, if the Qalandars slump to another low total then they will likely limp to a fourth defeat across their last five against their opponents.
