Lahore Qalandars vs Karachi Kings Preview & Tips

Lahore Qalandars are aiming to build on their nine-run win over Quetta Gladiators in their last PSL outing.

Karachi Kings slumped to a fifth consecutive loss in the PSL as they were beaten by Peshawar Zalmi in a seven-wicket loss.

Lahore Qalandars have been in good form of late with the outfit winning their last two against Pindiz and Quetta Gladiators.

Their most recent win over the Gladiators came in a solid batting display that was backed up by a miserly bowling performance. With 197 runs on the board, Haris Rauf (2/28) went about ensuring the Gladiators fell nine runs short of levelling the scores. This win was their second on the spin and fourth in eight matches.

Their brace of victories has been a welcome return to winning after losing to Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators. With the playoffs fast approaching, the Qalandars need to ensure that they turn two wins into three, and I am backing them to notch the win against an opponent that is in awful form.

Karachi Kings Form

Karachi Kings slipped to a fifth successive loss in the Pakistan Super League as they struggled to get close to Peshawar Zalmi in a seven-wicket loss.

The Kings currently sit in seventh in the Pakistan Super League, spared the bottom of the standings by Pindiz's winless run so far. Incredibly, the Kings have gone from three consecutive wins at the start of the campaign to five successive defeats. Despite this, their playoff hopes are still alive with two games to come.

However, with five successive defeats in the PSL, it is tough to see the Kings beating a Qalandars outfit in good form. Despite still being in the playoff equation, I predict that the Kings will slump to a defeat that may yet define their season.
