Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi Preview & Tips

Karachi Kings sit in seventh in the Pakistan Super League after a disappointing run of four successive defeats in the competition.

Karachi Kings recently slumped to a fourth consecutive loss in the PSL as they were beaten by Multan Sultans in an 11-run defeat.

This loss followed defeats to Peshawar Zalmi (by 159 runs), Hyderabad Kingsmen (by four wickets) and Islamabad United (by eight wickets). Now, with their last win coming on April 2, the Kings are in desperate need of a big performance with bat and ball if they are to arrest this woeful slump.

Their last game almost saw the Kings notch a comeback triumph, but they struggled to keep wickets in hand for a late surge, eventually being bowled out for 196. With their batting and bowling units not quite on song in their last match, I am backing the Kings to slip to another defeat at the hands of the best side in the competition.

Peshawar Zalmi Form

Peshawar Zalmi have been enjoying a superb season, with the side currently sitting on 15 points after seven wins and one no result.

Their last match saw Zalmi crush the Quetta Gladiators in a 118-run win. In this outing, Babar Azam's stunning 100 not out from 52 set a pace that the Gladiators simply could not keep up with as they lost regular wickets on the way to a big defeat.

Zalmi's huge win in their last game does not bode well for the Kings, who lost to their opponents by 159 runs in their last meeting on April 9. With the playoffs looming, I am backing Zalmi to continue their stunning form as they notch yet another win.
