Islamabad United vs Hyderabad Kingsmen Preview & Tips - Kingsmen tipped to stun United and take spot in PSL grand final

Hyderabad Kingsmen were outstanding against Multan Sultans in their last game as they stormed to an eight-wicket win over their opponents. 

The pair have only met twice before, with United winning once and the Kingsmen winning once. 

Islamabad United may have finished as one of the top teams in the regular season of the Pakistan Super League, but they were shown the difference between first and second in a resounding loss to Peshawar Zalmi last time out. 

Bowling first, United saw Zalmi hammer their way to 221/7 as Babar Azam starred with a score of 103. In reply, United lost wickets regularly after Devon Conway fell with the score at 58. From there, United crumbled as they were bowled out for 151 in 18.4 overs. 

While United are the side to back according to the odds, they have lost three of their last six outings. The way they lost their last match will also be a major worry as their batting and bowling units failed to fire. With the Kingsmen arriving in great form, I back United to crumble at the worst possible time. 

Hyderabad Kingsmen Form

 

Hyderabad Kingsmen were outstanding in their Eliminator against Multan Sultans as they easily chased down their target of 160 to win. 

In their last game, the Kingsmen were able to restrict the Sultans to 159/9 as only Shan Masood (69 not out) was able to really get going. In reply, Maaz Sadaqat (64 not out from 33) was able to lead the Kingsmen to a big win with eight wickets and 28 deliveries left to come. In truth, HK were looking at a score in excess of 210 if they could continue batting. 

While United will be desperate to bounce back at the first time of asking in the second Eliminator, I am backing the Kingsmen to continue their stunning run as they take their place in the grand final.
