India vs Pakistan Women T20 World Cup Preview & Tips - Pakistan's World Cup to start with loss against India

Pakistan Women are up against it to get anywhere near India in their opener with the former coming into this match on the back of an awful run. 

India have won seven of their last 10 against Pakistan in the T20 game, with the latter winning the other three. 

India Women may arrive as the side to back heading into their clash with Pakistan, but they are not on a particularly good run of form after losing three of their last four in the shortest format. 

Their 26-run win over the West Indies helps to paper over the cracks of three defeats to England, while they have been beaten in seven of their last 10. For a side that is fancied to potentially win the World Cup this year, India's form alludes to them possibly not being as strong as they might seem. 

With this in mind, India will hope to use their clash against big rivals Pakistan as the perfect chance to get back to winning ways. India have won six of their last seven against their opponents, and it is tough to see them missing out on a win in their opener. 

Pakistan Women trundle into their opening match of the World Cup on the back of four consecutive defeats to sides they would have hoped to have challenged. 

Defeats to the West Indies (by 25 runs), Ireland (by seven wickets), Sri Lanka (by nine wickets) and Scotland (by 41 runs) saw Pakistan rarely threaten to beat any of their opponents. With the World Cup hardly the place for a side that has lost the ability to win, Pakistan look like they are in real trouble. 

While pinning their World Cup hopes on beating India was likely not part of the plan, Pakistan will know that a defeat in their opener, which will be their fifth successive loss in the T20 game, will set them up to fail at the competition this summer.
