Hyderabad Kingsmen vs Pindiz Preview & Tips
Hyderabad Kingsmen beat Islamabad United by six wickets in their last match as Marnus Labuschagne's 61 not out proved the difference between the two sides.
Pindiz got nowhere near Quetta Gladiators in their last PSL match as they were bowled out for 121 chasing 183 to win.
- Pindiz have lost all five of their previous PSL matches
Head To Head
This will be the first time the pair have met in a competitive cricket match.
Hyderabad Kingsmen Form
Hyderabad Kingsmen would have been fearing the worst in the 2026 PSL after slipping to four successive defeats at the hands of Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi in their opening four matches.
However, they have found their feet of late by beating Karachi Kings and Islamabad United. Their win over the Kings saw the Kingsmen chase down their target of 189 with four wickets and five deliveries to spare. Their subsequent win over United saw the Kingsmen restrict their opponents to 153/9 before they notched a six-wicket win with 11 deliveries to spare.
While the Kingsmen were nowhere near good enough in their opening four, they have been far better of late, and they should be far too strong for their floundering opponents. If ever there was a game to win, it is now, with Pindiz losing their opening four in a torrid run. If the Kingsmen miss out on the points in this one, then they will be incredibly disappointed, with a three-game winning run within touching distance.
Pindiz Form
Pindiz's inception into the PSL was one that most knew would see the side struggle, but the depth of their woes has been a surprise to most.
Despite boasting a number of good players, Pindiz have lost their first five matches and sit four points adrift of seventh-placed Lahore Qalandars at the time of writing. Two scores of around the 200-run mark in their opening two had some hoping they may compete with their opponents, but they have passed 160 runs in one of their next three, while they were bowled out for just 121 in their last outing against the Gladiators.
While the Kingsmen have not been perfect this season, they arrive with wins in their last two. While this is one of the more winnable matches left for Pindiz, I predict their losing run will go on as they are left to rue what might have been.
Verdict
I am backing Kingsmen to make it three consecutive wins in the PSL as Pindiz's woeful campaign goes on.
